Mobile Industrial Platform for Heavy Manipulations
AgiBot G2 Max is a mobile robot for warehouse logistics, handling heavy loads, palletizing products, and depalletizing them. The robot is equipped with two manipulators with force control and 7 degrees of freedom for each arm. The allowable load is 18 kg per arm, 38 kg when working with both arms, and up to 50 kg in peak mode. The vertical working range of 0.1 to 2.54 m allows operations at different heights: working with loads near the floor, loading and unloading boxes, servicing pallets, and working with upper levels of warehouse or production areas.
Main Advantages of AgiBot G2 Max
- Extended working area. A high-torque joint in the waist area helps work with multiple rows of containers and upper levels of palletizing. This increases the available area for manipulators without moving the entire platform.
- Handling heavy loads and precise positioning. One manipulator is designed for loads up to 18 kg. For two arms, the nominal load is 38 kg, and the peak reaches 50 kg. Each arm has 7 degrees of freedom and force control with sub-millimeter precision.
- 360° space control. The spatial perception system controls the area around the robot without blind spots. Protective chassis elements and contact control help reduce the risk of collisions during movement and manipulations.
- Long operation and quick deployment. Genie Studio 2.0 supports quick setup of work scenarios during a production shift. The battery replacement system allows reducing downtime and organizing long-term operation of the G2 Max.
- Onboard computing for autonomous operations. The Jetson T5000 platform has a performance of up to 2,070 TFLOPS FP4. Calculations are performed directly on the robot for navigation, spatial perception, and manipulator control.
- Up to 8 hours of autonomous operation. The G2 Max supports autonomous charging and battery replacement. The duration of operation depends on the load, intensity of movements, and frequency of manipulations.
Kinematics and Control of G2 Max Manipulators
AgiBot G2 Max has a total of 21 degrees of freedom excluding the end effector module. Each robotic arm has 7 degrees of freedom, allowing the manipulator to approach the load from different directions, change the orientation of the object, and work near pallets, containers, and shelves.
Both arms support force control, enabling the system to control physical contact during load movement and positioning. The declared precision for relevant operations is at the sub-millimeter level.
The total number of 21 degrees of freedom does not include the inherent movements of the installed robotic hand or gripper.
Load Capacity of AgiBot G2 Max
One manipulator of AgiBot G2 Max is designed for a nominal load of up to 18 kg, and when both arms work together, this figure is 38 kg. For short-term peak mode with two arms, a load of up to 50 kg is declared.
The actual ability to move a specific item depends not only on its mass. The shape of the load, center of mass position, grip point, type of end module, movement trajectory, and manipulator positions must be considered.
For standard two-handed operations, the reference is 38 kg, while 50 kg refers to peak mode. The admissibility of such a load should be checked for a specific pose, trajectory, and installed gripper.
Working Area and Body Tilt of G2 Max
AgiBot G2 Max operates in a vertical range from 0.1 to 2.54 m, allowing operations at different heights—from loads near the floor and low pallets to upper levels of containers and shelves. To expand the available working area, the design includes a power unit for body tilt. It helps manipulators reach multi-row containers and work with loads at upper levels during palletizing.
Movement Speed and Space Control of G2 Max
AgiBot G2 Max moves at speeds up to 1.5 m/s and controls the space around the platform at 360°. This allows the robot to move between warehouse or production zones and track objects during movement and work operations.
The actual speed depends on the route, load mass, equipment location, and work scenario settings. The value of 1.5 m/s refers to the mobile base and does not determine the speed of manipulators or palletizing performance.
For additional physical contact control, protective chassis edges and a controlled contact response system are provided. They help detect and respond to collisions when working near shelves, equipment, and other objects.
Autonomous Operation and Charging of G2 Max
AgiBot G2 Max can operate for about 8 hours without recharging, but the actual duration depends on the load mass, manipulation frequency, movement intensity, and working conditions. For long shifts, autonomous charging and battery replacement are provided. This allows planning the work cycle so that the robot returns for charging or continues working after battery replacement. The 24/7 mode means the possibility of organizing round-the-clock operation through charging, battery replacement, and task management.
Genie Studio 2.0 for Setting Up Robotic Tasks
AgiBot G2 Max works with the Genie Studio 2.0 platform, which helps prepare and launch robotic operations in a warehouse or production faster. The platform simplifies the setup of work scenarios, routes, and action sequences for a specific process. The actual preparation time depends on the type of gripper, equipment, loads, route, and enterprise requirements.
Palletizing and Warehouse Operations of G2 Max
AgiBot G2 Max is designed for working with loads at different heights and performing repetitive warehouse operations. Two robotic arms are designed for a combined nominal load of up to 38 kg, and the vertical working area reaches 2.54 m.
The wheeled chassis allows moving between shelves, pallets, and work areas, and the power unit for body tilt helps work with multi-row containers and loads at upper levels.
Where to Use AgiBot G2 Max
- Palletizing. Placing boxes, containers, and other loads on pallets according to a specified scheme.
- Depalletizing. Removing loads from pallets and transferring them to the next work area.
- Working with shelves. Removing and placing loads at different levels of warehouse structures.
- Moving between warehouse zones. Transporting items between shelves, pallets, containers, and workstations.
- Working with multi-row containers. Handling loads located at different heights and depths.
- Production logistics. Supplying parts, containers, or materials between equipment and work areas.
The actual performance depends on the mass and shape of the load, type of gripper, placement height, route, and work process settings.

Practical Recommendations
- Before integration, determine the actual mass of the loads and separately compare it with the parameters of 18 kg for one arm and 38 kg nominally for two arms.
- Do not use 50 kg peak load as a standard value for continuous two-handed operations.
- When designing the route, consider the width of passages, turning points, and the need for lateral platform movement between shelves.
- For palletizing and depalletizing, test the system on real boxes, containers, and pallets before serial implementation.
- For long work cycles, plan autonomous charging or battery replacement in advance according to the enterprise's work mode.
