For beginners and general layout prototyping, it is best to buy PLA filament, as it is the easiest to print with and environmentally friendly.

PLA filament is made from biodegradable resources, emits no unpleasant odors, has minimal shrinkage, and does not require an enclosed printer chamber. If your project demands heavy-duty parts resistant to heat and impact, you can order ABS filament, although printing with it strictly requires a heated bed and an enclosed build chamber.

The current price of PLA and ABS filaments in our store starts from 450 UAH per 0.75 kg spool, depending on the brand and material modification.

For the most demanding engineering applications, we highly recommend the following materials:

• Polycarbonate (PC): withstands heavy impacts, twisting forces, and high thermal stress;
• Nylon (PA): features a low coefficient of friction and excellent wear resistance, making it optimal for gears and sliding bearings;
• Composites (carbon plastic): carbon-fiber-reinforced filaments that deliver the rigidity of metal at an extremely low weight.

To preserve your filament's properties, store it in airtight bags with desiccant (silica gel) or use dedicated drying stations.

Nearly all materials are hygroscopic and absorb moisture from the air. If the filament becomes damp, the moisture will boil inside the hot nozzle during extrusion, causing popping sounds, layer voids, and poor layer adhesion. Before using wet filament, it is recommended to dry the spool in a dehydrator at 50–70 °C for 4–6 hours.
