AGIBOT A3 Ultra is a full-sized humanoid robot with a height of 174 cm for service scenarios, autonomous operation, research, embodied AI, and interaction with people. The model weighs 60 kg, has 51 DoF, and can work with a load of up to 5 kg on each arm. The perception system includes 3D LiDAR, a binocular RGB camera, RGB-D cameras, and panoramic cameras. The NVIDIA Thor computational module, with a performance of up to 700 TOPS, is responsible for the operation of embodied AI algorithms. Autonomy is up to 8 hours.

  • Flexible movements and precise work with objects. AGIBOT A3 Ultra has 51 active degrees of freedom with functional OmniHand hands. The kinematic system includes 2 DoF in the neck, 7 DoF in each arm, 3 DoF in the waist, and 6 DoF in each leg.

Mobility and structure of the humanoid robot

AGIBOT A3 Ultra has 51 active degrees of freedom, providing mobility of the neck, arms, waist, legs, and functional hands. The neck accounts for 2 DoF, each arm for 7 DoF, the waist for 3 DoF, and each leg for 6 DoF. The robot's height is 174 cm, which corresponds to a full-sized humanoid format and allows it to work with equipment, furniture, and work areas designed for human interaction. The construction uses a magnesium alloy and carbon fiber-reinforced nylon.

Each arm is designed for a load of up to 5 kg. The peak torque of the knee joint is 320 Nm. The normal walking speed does not exceed 1.2 m/s; in everyday mode, the robot can move at a speed of up to 1.8 m/s, and in laboratory mode up to 2.5 m/s. In special running mode, the speed can reach 5 m/s.

Perception system and navigation

The perception of the environment in AGIBOT A3 Ultra is handled by a sensor complex with 360° coverage. It includes 3D LiDAR, a binocular RGB camera, three wide-angle panoramic cameras, and RGB-D cameras. The chest area camera is used for assessing the work area, and the lower RGB-D camera for perceiving the surface and terrain in front of the robot.

Positioning uses GPS, RTK, and UWB. UWB is responsible for indoor operation, and RTK for precise positioning in open areas. The A3 Ultra has basic functions for map building, localization, point and route navigation, as well as dynamic obstacle detection and avoidance. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G/5G networks are available for communication.

Autonomy and power system

AGIBOT A3 Ultra is equipped with a dual-battery system with a total capacity of 1152 Wh. Comprehensive autonomy is up to 8 hours with a standing-to-walking time ratio of 1:1. Actual working time depends on movement speed, load, and specific scenario.

The robot supports direct charging, automatic charging, and battery replacement. Full charging takes no more than 2 hours with an input voltage of 110–220 V, and quick battery replacement takes about 10 seconds. The combination of autonomous charging and replaceable batteries is designed for long-term commercial operation.

Computational system and software development

The control of movement, interaction, and operation of embodied AI algorithms in AGIBOT A3 Ultra is handled by three computational blocks. The MDU based on RK3588 works with motion algorithms, while the HDU on RK3588S2 processes data from head systems and interaction functions. A separate ADU is built on NVIDIA Thor and is intended for resource-intensive embodied AI algorithms.

The computational performance of the system reaches 700 TOPS. This resource is used for autonomous task division into stages, route planning, sensor information processing, and dynamic obstacle avoidance. The A3 Ultra also supports secondary development: interfaces for motion control, navigation, sensor work, audio, and system functions are available.
