3D Printing Adhesive MF-Monocoat #1

Polymer-based 3D printing adhesive – a means to enhance the adhesion of the product to the work platform during 3D printing.

MF-Monocoat #1 is used for:

• standard (ABS, ABS+, ABSeco, ABSpro, ABSflex, MBS, PLA, PLA+, coPET, HIPS, SAN)
• and engineering plastics (PET, ELASTAN, PC, ASA, PBT, ABS/PC)

Not suitable for: PA, PA+, Nylon.

Soluble in isopropyl alcohol.

Adhesive Application During Printing

The use of adhesion-enhancing agents helps securely fix the model on the table and also reduces warping (distortion), increasing the quality of 3D printing. This is especially relevant when 3D printing with certain types of plastics, as well as models with a large surface area in contact with the platform. The forces that arise when cooling the model lead to deformation or delamination, which can affect the quality of printing. During printing, for example, with ABS plastic, the corners tend to delaminate or deform (this phenomenon is more common).

Instructions

The adhesive is applied to a cold, clean surface of the table in an even layer. After applying the adhesive in 1-2 layers, wait 2-3 minutes and turn on the platform heating. Remove the product after cooling to a temperature below 40°C. Residual adhesive after printing is easily removed with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol or a spatula and hot water.
