Galvanometric UV Laser SCULPFUN V5 for Complex Materials
SCULPFUN V5 UV — is a galvanometric type ultraviolet laser engraver with a wavelength of 355 nm and a working speed of 10000 mm/s. The laser uses cold processing technology, which breaks the molecular bonds of the material instead of heating it, fully preserving the color and structure of the edges. The integration of the Industrial FPGA processor, Auto Z system, and Dual Focus automates the work and provides instant focusing.

Why Choose the SCULPFUN V5 Engraver
SCULPFUN V5 combines micron-level positioning accuracy, high processing speed, and stable marking quality. This equipment is used in manufacturing, personalization workshops, and for serial marking of products.
- Fast and precise marking of heat-sensitive materials. The ultraviolet laser 355 nm provides minimal thermal impact on glass, plastic, and electronic components. Thanks to the galvanometric system with speeds up to 10000 mm/s, marking on heat-sensitive bases occurs instantly.
- High detail of small elements. The laser with a diameter of 0.0019 mm is suitable for applying microtext, serial numbers, QR codes, and complex graphics with clear contours.
- Support for internal 3D engraving of crystals. The equipment can create volumetric images inside glass and crystal, expanding the possibilities of product personalization.
- Compatibility with a large number of bases. SCULPFUN V5 supports over 1500 materials, including plastics, metals, glass, ceramics, and printed circuit boards.
- High precision serial marking. Positioning repeatability of 0.001 mm forms identical reproduction of elements on each product in a large batch.

Multi-mode Engraving 4 in 1
SCULPFUN V5 supports several processing modes, allowing work with different materials and surfaces. The laser can perform four types of engraving:
- flat engraving;
- engraving on curved surfaces;
- 3D relief engraving;
- internal 3D engraving in crystals and glass;
UV Laser Technology and Operating Features
SCULPFUN V5 uses an ultraviolet laser with a wavelength of 355 nm. The short wavelength provides high energy absorption by many materials, so laser marking is performed very precisely even on complex surfaces. In practice, you get:
- clean contours without burnt edges;
- high contrast marking;
- the ability to work with heat-sensitive plastics;
- quality engraving of glass and crystals;
- obtaining fine text and micro-marking.
The galvanometric scanning system moves the laser beam using mirrors, allowing speeds up to 10000 mm/s without losing accuracy.
Automatic Focusing and Positioning System
SCULPFUN V5 is equipped with an electric lift system for automatic focus adjustment. This reduces preparation time and helps quickly switch between different products. Two working areas are available for different tasks:
- 70 x 70 mm — for maximum detail;
- 150 x 150 mm — for larger products.
If necessary, the working area can be increased to 150 x 350 mm with additional G9SE expansion equipment.

Materials for Marking and Engraving
One of the main advantages of SCULPFUN V5 is compatibility with a large number of materials. The manufacturer claims support for over 1500 types of materials.
- Plastics: ABS, PVC, PC, PET, PP, acrylic, plexiglass.
- Metals: stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium, silver, gold, platinum.
- Glass materials: glass, quartz glass, crystals.
- Ceramic materials: technical and decorative ceramics.
- Electronic components: printed circuit boards and electronic modules.
- Natural materials: wood, leather, paper.
- Minerals and stone: marble, jade, and other types of stone.

Software and Operating Modes
To work with SCULPFUN V5, you can use the SGD Laser or LightBurn Pro software.
SGD Laser is the manufacturer's proprietary solution and provides access to all equipment capabilities, including internal 3D engraving of crystals, creating relief 3D images, processing curved surfaces, and standard flat engraving.
LightBurn Pro is suitable for most laser marking and engraving tasks, but some specialized UV laser functions are currently only supported through SGD Laser.

How to Set Up the UV Laser
The 355 nm UV laser performs cold marking without overheating the material. Before starting work for precise and fast engraving, it is recommended to perform the following actions:
- Install the required field lens.
- Turn on the equipment.
- Connect SCULPFUN V5 via Wi-Fi or USB.
- Launch SGD Laser or LightBurn.
- Select the material and processing parameters.
- Perform automatic focusing.
- Check the position of the workpiece using the preview function.
- Start test marking.
- If necessary, adjust the speed, frequency, and pulse duration.
Changing the frequency in the range of 30–100 kHz allows adapting the energy density for sensitive polymers or ultra-strong metals. After fixing the correct parameters in the LightBurn or SGD Laser program, the template can be launched into mass production.

Operating Tips
- Test settings for each material. Different bases require individual selection of UV laser power and pulse frequency.
- Start work with test samples. This allows checking the marking quality before launching mass production.
- Always turn on the exhaust system. This ensures the removal of toxic gases and microparticles released during material destruction.
- Strictly adhere to the recommended focus height. Even minimal deviation from the focal distance weakens the beam energy and degrades line clarity.
