Formlabs Fuse 1 Generation Build Chamber Lead Screw Cleaning Kit — a service kit for maintaining the Z-axis lead screw in the working chamber of Fuse 1 and Fuse 1+ 30W printers. The kit is used for cleaning the screw from contaminated grease and powder and subsequently applying new lubricant.

Purpose of the Kit

During operation, powder residues, old grease, and wear products can accumulate on the lead screw thread. This can affect the smooth movement of the platform and cause extraneous noises during operation. Cleaning and re-lubrication help maintain the normal operation of the Z-axis mechanism.

When to Perform Maintenance

Formlabs recommends cleaning and lubricating the lead screw of the working chamber approximately every 1000 hours of printing. It is also worth checking and servicing the mechanism in case of unusual noise or uneven platform movement.
