Formlabs Fuse 1 Series SOM — a replaceable electronic component that is installed on the printer's motherboard and ensures the operation of its firmware. The module is part of the equipment control system and participates in the startup and functioning of the printer.

Purpose of the Module

SOM (System on Module) connects directly to the motherboard and executes the printer's software. Through this component, the operation of the Fuse 1 Generation system functions is implemented.

When Replacement is Needed

The module is replaced in case of confirmed malfunction. According to Formlabs, issues with the SOM can lead to the printer freezing during initialization or the equipment not turning on. The need for replacement is determined after diagnostics.
