Formlabs Fuse Blast Polishing Mesh

Formlabs Fuse Blast Polishing Mesh is a replaceable filter element for operating the Fuse Blast station with the polishing system. It is installed instead of the standard hopper mesh before starting the polishing mode.

Purpose of the Mesh

During the operation of Fuse Blast with polishing material, the mesh is involved in the filtration and circulation of the media within the system. Before switching to Formlabs Polishing Media, the standard Hopper Mesh must be removed and the Polishing Mesh installed.

When Replacement is Needed

The mesh is used during the operation of Fuse Blast with the Polishing System. Its condition needs to be regularly checked and cleaned, as clumps and hardened material can accumulate on the surface. Formlabs recommends cleaning the media filter mesh after approximately 20 blasting cycles, and in the current maintenance schedule, checking and cleaning it after every 10 hours of active operation. A damaged mesh should be replaced as it may cease to filter the material correctly.
