MetalSys 180 — A small-class SLM 3D printer for small-batch production of metal parts, when the compact format is no longer sufficient, but transitioning to the medium class (e.g., 300×300×400 mm) is not yet needed. The model bridges the gap between laboratory tasks and stable production load: it offers more build area, more convenient part arrangement on the platform, and potential for increased productivity thanks to the Dual Laser option.

How MetalSys 180 Differs from MetalSys 120E and MetalSys 300

Compared to MetalSys 120E: MetalSys 180 has a larger working area of 180×180×150 mm (instead of Ø120×150 mm), making it suitable when the 120E platform is no longer sufficient — larger parts or more products per run are needed. Also, the 180 features a Dual Laser option (depending on configuration), providing a productivity reserve for small-batch tasks.

Compared to MetalSys 300: MetalSys 180 is a small class with more compact dimensions and working area. It is chosen when a large build area of 300×300×400 mm and configurations like Dual / 4 laser are not needed, but stable SLM printing for production tasks is required.
