Alpha Grey Resin Formlabs for SLA Printing of Grey Models on Form Studio 1

Formlabs Alpha Grey Resin Cartridge for Form Studio 1, 1 L — a grey photopolymer resin from the Alpha Resins line, created for use with the Form Studio 1 platform. The material is suitable for creating models, prototypes, and other products in grey color.

Technical Properties of Alpha Grey Resin

Alpha Grey Resin V1 has a density of 1.08 g/cm³ and a dynamic viscosity of 650 cP at 25 °C.

Alpha Grey is designed with two printing profiles with layer thicknesses of 50 µm and 100 µm.

Working in the Form Studio 1 Ecosystem

Alpha Grey Resin is printed using the standard Form Studio 1 Resin Tank. The film of this tank is optimized for Alpha Resins, so switching to the Resin Tank Pro for this material is not necessary.

During printing, Form Studio 1 tracks resin consumption by printed layers and stores information about the used material in the cartridge.

Alpha Grey belongs to the Alpha Resins, specifically designed for Form Studio 1. The material is not used on Form 4/4B and Form 4L/4BL.

Post-Processing and Working with the Material

Printed parts from Alpha Grey Resin can be cleaned using the Formlabs Resin Washing Solution. For Alpha Resins in the Form Studio Wash+Cure, the basic cycle consists of 5 minutes of washing and 5 minutes of curing. After printing, the recommended post-processing time is also displayed on Form Studio 1.

The Alpha Resins line uses components with low odor, making working with the material more comfortable indoors. It is recommended to use protective gloves when in contact with liquid resin.

When using Form Studio 1 together with Alpha Resins and VOC Extractor, the system is certified with UL GREENGUARD Gold for low chemical emissions.
