Alpha Fast Resin Formlabs for High-Speed 3D Printing on Form Studio 1

Formlabs Alpha Fast Resin Cartridge for Form Studio 1, 1 L — a photopolymer resin from the Alpha Resins line, designed for high-speed 3D printing on the Form Studio 1 platform. The material is intended for the production of models and prototypes in tasks where reducing print time is a priority.

Alpha Fast Resin Printing Speed

The key feature of Alpha Fast Resin is the ability for high-speed printing on Form Studio 1. The maximum declared printing speed with this material is up to 130 mm/h.

In PreForm for Alpha Fast, there are two profiles with layer thicknesses of 150 μm and 250 μm.

These profiles are oriented towards tasks where productivity is important and there is a need to reduce the time for manufacturing models or prototypes.

Usage on Form Studio 1

Alpha Fast Resin works with the standard Form Studio 1 Resin Tank, optimized for Alpha Resins materials. The Resin Tank Pro is not required for printing with this resin.

Form Studio 1 automatically tracks resin usage during printing. The consumed volume is determined by the printed layers, and information about the used material is recorded in the cartridge.

Alpha Fast is part of the Alpha Resins family, created specifically for Form Studio 1. The material is not compatible with Form 4/4B and Form 4L/4BL.

Post-Processing of Parts

After printing, products made from Alpha Fast Resin can be washed using the Formlabs Resin Washing Solution.

For Alpha Resins in Form Studio Wash+Cure, the basic cycle is 5 minutes of washing and 5 minutes of curing. After printing is completed, Form Studio 1 also displays the recommended post-processing time for the specific task.

Material Handling Conditions

The Alpha Resins line uses components with low odor. It is recommended to use protective gloves and adhere to the material safety data sheet requirements when in contact with liquid resin.

When using Form Studio 1 with Alpha Resins and VOC Extractor, the system is certified with UL GREENGUARD Gold for low chemical emissions. The certification specifically applies to this combination of printer, material, and filtration system.
