Ortur LM2 S2 10W is a desktop diode laser machine for applying graphics and cutting sheet materials. Working Area and Control

The Ortur LM2 S2 frame consists of aluminum profiles and acrylic parts. Movement along the X and Y axes is performed by NEMA 17 stepper motors, and the OLM-PRO-V1.2 board with a 32-bit ESP32 MCU processes control commands.

The standard working area is 390 × 410 mm. For long parts, a separate extension kit is available, increasing the format to 390 × 800 mm. The maximum speed of the laser module movement is 5000 mm/min.

The mechanical movement accuracy along the X and Y axes is declared at 12.5 μm. Before starting, the correct distance between the module and the workpiece surface must be set.

Work Control and Safety

Ortur Laser Master 2 controls the frame position, exposure duration, and electrical parameters. In case of tilt, USB connection loss, or exceeding the permissible working position, the system stops the laser operation.

The manufacturer does not declare a separate physical emergency stop button for the LM2 S2. The open design requires protective goggles, smoke extraction, and a non-flammable base. The operator must remain near the machine throughout the entire cycle.
