Ortur LU3-10A Laser Module: 10W Optical Power for Precise Cutting and Engraving

The Ortur LU3-10A laser module with an output optical power of 10W is designed for installation on Ortur laser engravers. Thanks to its high compatibility, the model is suitable for quick upgrades and works with OLM3, OLM2 PRO S2, and OLM2 S2 machines. The module is effectively used for high-precision cutting and engraving of wood, plywood, black acrylic, leather, as well as for clear marking of stainless steel surfaces. The optical power of 10W, provided by the Dual Laser Beam Dots compression technology, is sufficient for clean through-cutting of materials in one pass — for example, plywood or pine up to 10mm thick or black acrylic 30mm in several passes.

Design Features of Ortur LU3-10A

• Dual Laser Beam Compression Technology: the design combines two diode sources of 5.5W each into one concentrated beam. This ensures a stable output optical power of 10W.
• Compressed Laser Spot: the focal point size is 0.05 × 0.1mm. Small spot sizes allow detailed transmission of contours and gradients during engraving.
• Engraving on Metal: the density of laser radiation allows for direct indelible marking on stainless steel surfaces.
• Built-in Air Assist System: the module is equipped with an integrated air tube and metal nozzle for connecting an air compressor. The air flow blows smoke and material particles out of the processing area, reducing the formation of soot and burn marks.
• Laser Diode Cooling: a built-in fan with a rotation speed of up to 10,000 rpm maintains an optimal temperature regime, preventing overheating and ensuring the diode's service life up to 10,000 hours.
• Optical Element Protection: directed air flows inside the housing reduce the deposition of dust, soot, and resins on the lens, maintaining the optical transmission capacity.
• Mechanical Focus Adjustment: a flip-up stop is installed on the housing, allowing for quick and precise focus distance adjustment to the material surface without using additional tools.
• Protective Screen: an integrated filter made of durable tinted glass blocks up to 97% of laser radiation, reducing the load on the operator's vision.

Material Compatibility and Processing Features

Materials for Engraving: wood, plywood, MDF, bamboo, cardboard, craft paper, leather, felt, textiles, dark acrylic, ABS and PVC plastic, rubber, silicone. The module is also suitable for working with hard surfaces: stainless steel, metals with galvanic and powder coatings, ceramics, ceramic tiles, glass, pebbles, marble, slate, cement, and brick.

Materials for Cutting: paper, corrugated cardboard, MDF, plywood, solid pine and paulownia, bamboo, dark acrylic, ABS and PVC plastic, leather, felt, textiles, silicone.

Cutting Specifics: the optical power of 10W allows cutting plywood or pine blanks up to 10mm thick in one pass, as well as dark acrylic sheets up to 5–8mm thick, depending on speed and air supply. The maximum cutting thickness and edge quality directly depend on the density, internal structure, and color of the blank.

Optical Limitations: the diode laser operates in the visible spectrum (blue radiation). The module is not intended for cutting and engraving transparent, white, or mirror acrylic, as well as for direct cutting of pure colored and black metals such as copper, brass, untreated aluminum.
