Step-by-step preparation and start-up of the SLQ1400-20 furnace

Before starting work, the furnace should be installed on a flat, stable surface. The equipment should be placed away from explosive substances, gases, and flammable materials.

Connecting the furnace

  1. Connect terminal L1 to the phase wire.
  2. Connect terminal N to neutral.
  3. Be sure to connect the grounding.
  4. Check the correctness of all electrical connections before turning on.

Preparing the atmosphere in the chamber

For processes requiring a controlled atmosphere or vacuum, the manufacturer recommends pre-pumping the chamber:

  1. Connect the vacuum pump to the furnace outlet pipe.
  2. Pump air from the chamber to a pressure of about -0.03 MPa.
  3. Supply protective gas at a pressure of up to 0.02 MPa.
  4. Repeat the vacuuming of the chamber.
  5. Repeat the cycle several times to achieve the necessary atmosphere in the working area.

Starting work

  1. Turn on the automatic power switch.
  2. Ensure the temperature controller is on and information appears on the display.
  3. Turn on the water supply to the door cooling system and check circulation.
  4. Place the material in the center of the working chamber using crucible tongs.
  5. Tightly close the furnace door and secure all four quick-release clamps.
  6. Supply protective gas and flush the furnace according to the instructions.
  7. Supply protective gas at a pressure of up to 0.02 MPa and ensure its circulation through the furnace chamber. Maintain a positive pressure in the chamber during operation, not exceeding 0.03 MPa.
  8. Set the heating, holding, and cooling program on the controller.
  9. Start the program.

Before first use or after a long idle period, perform furnace drying according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
