Advantages of FastForm AiForm-G2 500W×2 Green Laser

  • Two green lasers for copper printing. AiForm-G2 is equipped with two 500W Green Lasers each. The configuration is designed for additive manufacturing of pure copper parts and working with large copper components of complex geometry.
  • Large pure copper parts. The build area of 300 × 300 × 400 mm is suitable for cold plates, heat exchangers, tall structures, and other copper components. Multiple parts can also be placed on the platform during one production cycle depending on their dimensions.
  • High printing productivity. The forming speed ranges from 10 to 25 cm³/h per laser. AiForm-G2 can be used for single and serial production of copper components, and actual productivity depends on the geometry of the product, layer thickness, and set printing parameters.
  • Precise scanning. The maximum scanning speed is 10 m/s, and repeatability does not exceed 2 μrad. These parameters are important when forming complex contours, channels, and other geometric elements of a copper part.
  • Dense metal formation. The density of the formed material reaches 99.9%. This indicator is significant for functional copper components, including cold plates, heat exchangers, and liquid cooling system parts.
  • Size control of parts. For products up to 100 mm in size, the allowable deviation is 0.1 mm in both directions from the specified size. For parts over 100 mm, the allowable deviation is 0.1% of the part size.
  • Adjustable layer thickness. The powder layer thickness is adjustable from 20 to 80 μm. The parameter can be selected considering the geometry of the part and the requirements for its formation process.

Two Green Lasers for 3D Copper Printing

FastForm AiForm-G2 in the 500W×2 Green Laser configuration is equipped with two 500W green lasers each. The printer is focused on additive manufacturing of pure copper parts, including components for heat transfer and dissipation.

The dual-laser configuration is combined with productivity from 10 to 25 cm³/h per laser. This makes the AiForm-G2 suitable for producing large copper components and placing multiple products within one platform.

Large-Format 3D Printing of Copper Parts

FastForm AiForm-G2 has a build area of 300 × 300 × 400 mm. The working volume is designed for large components of heat dissipation systems, tall structures, and simultaneous placement of multiple parts.

Within the available volume, cold plates, heat exchangers, and other copper components with extended channels and heat exchange structures can be manufactured. The additive manufacturing method reduces the need to divide a complex structure into separate parts for subsequent assembly.

Additive Manufacturing of Pure Copper Parts

AiForm-G2 works with pure copper and is focused on parts where heat transfer and dissipation are important. Such products include cold plates, heat exchangers, and components of liquid cooling systems.

Metal 3D printing allows forming channels and heat exchange elements directly in the construction of the part. This is especially relevant for products whose geometry is difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional mechanical processing methods.

Printing and Scanning Parameters

The productivity of AiForm-G2 is from 10 to 25 cm³/h per laser. The actual forming speed depends on the geometry of the product, layer thickness, and other set printing parameters.

The maximum scanning speed is 10 m/s, and repeatability does not exceed 2 μrad. For parts up to 100 mm in size, the allowable deviation is 0.1 mm in both directions from the specified size. For parts over 100 mm, the allowable deviation is 0.1% of the part size. The powder layer thickness is adjustable from 20 to 80 μm. The parameter can be selected according to the geometry of the part and the requirements for the printing process.

Forming Metal Parts

The density of the formed material of AiForm-G2 is up to 99.9%. This indicator characterizes the degree of metal compaction after printing and is significant for manufacturing functional parts from pure copper.

Combined with controlled dimensional accuracy and adjustable layer thickness, such density is suitable for manufacturing cold plates, heat exchangers, and other copper components for heat transfer and dissipation.

Complex Geometry for Heat Exchange and Cooling

Additive manufacturing with pure copper allows forming curved, multilayer, and flow channels with variable cross-sections directly in the body of the part. Such constructions are used in cold plates and other components of liquid cooling.

For heat exchange parts, microchannels, thin fins, and TPMS structures can also be used. Channels and heat exchange elements are formed together with the main geometry of the product, reducing the number of separate parts and connections in the construction.

Application of FastForm AiForm-G2

FastForm AiForm-G2 500W×2 Green Laser is designed for manufacturing large-scale and serial components from pure copper for heat dissipation, heat exchange, and liquid cooling.

  • Cold plates. Manufacturing large copper plates with channels for coolant circulation.
  • Heat exchangers. Printing parts with branched channels, thin fins, and complex geometry of heat exchange elements.
  • Liquid cooling components. Forming microchannels, multilayer channels, and channels with variable cross-sections directly in the part.
  • Serial copper parts. The build area allows placing multiple components on one platform depending on their sizes and layout scheme.
