Large Format 3D Printing with Engineering Thermoplastics
IEMAI LF YM-NT-1200 is a large format 3D printer designed for large parts and products made from engineering thermoplastics, with a working area of 1200 × 1200 × 1200 mm, two independent IDEX nozzles, and a chamber heating up to 60 °C. It works with 1.75 mm filament, has a PEI platform with magnetic fixation, and features automatic leveling, material control, and power outage recovery.
Advantages of IEMAI LF YM-NT-1200
- Working area for large products. The build volume allows for models up to 1200 mm on each axis.
- Two independent IDEX nozzles. Each nozzle moves separately, and the system has calibration of the distance between nozzles along the XYZ axes. The design includes two modular nozzles.

- Working with various materials. The 3D printer supports common engineering plastics, materials with carbon or glass fiber, modified polymers, and support printing materials. It uses 1.75 mm diameter filament.
- Automatic control functions. The model has power outage recovery, filament end sensor, automatic leveling, and automatic shutdown.
- Local and cloud management. Data transfer is available via Ethernet, USB, and Wi-Fi.
Extrusion System and Nozzles
The IEMAI LF YM-NT-1200 3D printer has two modular nozzles with independent IDEX movement. The standard nozzle diameter is 0.6 mm, with a 0.4 mm option available. The nozzle material is hardened steel. The extrusion system cooling is air-based. The recommended layer thickness is 0.05–0.3 mm.
The maximum print speed is 200 mm/s, with acceleration of 10000 mm/s². A flow rate of 60 mm³/s is specified for PLA at a speed of 100 mm/s and a 0.6 mm nozzle. The page also indicates synchronous control of material feeders and calibration of the distance between two nozzles along the XYZ axes.
Temperature Modes and Platform
The printer's nozzle in standard configuration heats up to 350 °C, and the platform with magnetic fixation and PEI coating up to 120 °C. The working chamber and filament box support heating up to 60 °C. Thanks to automatic PID tuning, the temperature is maintained with high stability within ±2 °C.
3D Printing Process Management
The model is equipped with a 10.1-inch color touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels. The RAM is 2 GB, and the internal flash storage is 32 GB. The processes are managed by an eight-core logic controller RK3576 with Arm Cortex-A72 cores at 2.2 GHz and Arm Cortex-A53 at 1.8 GHz, while the precision of movements is ensured by an STM32 ARM Cortex-M4 processor at 168 MHz.
Thanks to this hardware platform, a wide range of automatic functions is implemented: platform leveling, filament end detection, print recovery after power failure, automatic shutdown, and synchronous feeder control. Calibration of the distance between nozzles, PID temperature regulation, work with a magnetic platform, and remote cloud OTA updates are also supported.
Materials for 3D Printing
The printer works with thermoplastic filament with a diameter of 1.75 mm. Compatible materials are divided into five groups.
- Carbon fiber reinforced: CF-PPS, CF-PPA, CF-PAHT, CF-PA12, CF-PA6, CF-PC, CF-PET, CF-ABS, CF-ASA, CF-PETG, CF-PP, CF-PLA.
- Glass fiber reinforced: GF-PPS, GF-PPA, GF-PAHT, GF-PA12, GF-PA6, GF-PC, GF-PET, GF-ABS, GF-ASA, GF-PETG, GF-PP, GF-PLA.

The printer supports STP/STEP, STL, OBJ, and 3MF formats. It operates on a Linux-based system. For file preparation on a computer, 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11 are suitable. Files can be transferred via Ethernet, USB, or Wi-Fi. Cloud service and local network management are also available.

Tips for Working with IEMAI LF YM-NT-1200
- Before starting, check the condition of the PEI surface and the correct placement of the platform on the magnetic base.
- Run automatic leveling and monitor the first layer before moving on to the main part of the model.
- When working with two nozzles, check the calibration of the distance along the XYZ axes.
- Select the temperature according to the specific material profile and do not exceed the printer's configuration limit.
- For a new material or profile, first print a test sample.
- Do not disable the filament sensor, automatic shutdown, temperature control, and other factory protective functions.
