ASA Plastic Creatbot for UV and Weather Resistant Parts

ASA Plastic Creatbot 1 kg 1.75 mm White is an engineering filament for FDM 3D printing of outdoor enclosures, automotive components, garden equipment, and other parts designed for long-term outdoor use. The material is resistant to UV radiation, weathering, and yellowing, and its mechanical and thermal properties allow ASA to be used for functional products in outdoor conditions.

Material Advantages

• Resistance to UV radiation and weathering. ASA is designed for long-term outdoor use and is resistant to yellowing, chalking, and embrittlement under solar radiation. This allows the material to be used for enclosures of outdoor equipment, automotive components, garden equipment, and signage.
• Resistance to high temperatures. The Vicat softening temperature is 101 °C, and the deformation temperature under a load of 0.45 MPa is 90 °C. These thermal indicators are important for parts that operate outdoors and may simultaneously experience heating and mechanical load.
• Mechanical properties for functional parts. The tensile strength in the XY direction is 38 MPa, flexural strength is 65 MPa, and impact toughness is 12.9 kJ/m². These characteristics allow the material to be used for enclosures, brackets, equipment, and other parts that experience mechanical loads during operation.
• Filament diameter control. The diameter of 1.75 mm is maintained with a tolerance of ±0.03 mm. This tolerance limits diameter deviation along the length of the filament and helps maintain predictable material feed during printing.

Features of ASA Creatbot 3D Printing

ASA Creatbot is recommended to be printed at a nozzle temperature of 240–260 °C and a platform temperature of 100–110 °C. The working chamber temperature is 60–80 °C, the printing speed is 30–120 mm/s, and the cooling fan speed is 0–30%.

Due to shrinkage, ASA is sensitive to temperature fluctuations during layer formation. A closed or semi-closed chamber reduces the risk of edge warping and interlayer cracking, especially when manufacturing large parts.

Before printing, it is recommended to dry the filament for 6–8 hours at a temperature of 70–80 °C.

For adhesion of the first layer, a 3D printing spray, PVP glue stick, or specialized adhesive for the printing platform can be used.

Storage

It is recommended to store the filament in a dry, cool place at a temperature of 15–25 °C and relative humidity below 30%, protecting it from direct sunlight. After opening, the spool should be kept in a sealed package with a desiccant or in a dry box.
