Robotic Complex Unitree G1-D Ultimate B-U7 with 33 Degrees of Freedom
Unitree G1-D Ultimate B-U7 is a robotic system for data collection, model training, and testing interaction algorithms with physical objects, equipped with two seven-axis arms, Dex3-1 three-fingered hands, and a wheeled chassis. The configuration has 33 degrees of freedom, supports force control of the fingers, and uses RGB cameras in the hands, but does not provide tactile feedback.
Features of Unitree G1-D Ultimate B-U7
- Special design of Dex3-1 hands. The B-U7 configuration is equipped with two three-fingered hands with force control and 7 degrees of freedom each. The mobility of the thumb, index, and middle fingers allows for different grip patterns, while tactile feedback is not provided in this design.
- Additional machine vision channel in end effectors. RGB cameras are part of the Dex3-1 hands and provide image acquisition during work with objects. This data can be used together with the cameras of the main module and wrists.
- Kinematic scheme with 33 degrees of freedom. The movements of the arms, hands, waist module, lifting column, and chassis can be involved within a single scenario. This allows changing the position of the entire system, not just a separate manipulator.
- Adjustable vertical working zone. The lifting column changes the overall height of the complex from 1260 to 1680 mm at a speed of approximately 60 mm/s. This allows positioning the arms relative to surfaces of different heights.
Functional Capabilities
- Organization of robotic projects. The software environment supports task creation, distribution among platforms, and execution status monitoring.
- Formation of training datasets. Data obtained during physical interaction with objects can be collected, labeled, verified, and organized for further use.
- Preparation of models for training. The user can choose the architecture, set parameters, and control the training process.
- Evaluation before deployment on hardware. Algorithms can be tested in a three-dimensional simulation environment before transferring to the physical system.
- Transfer of results to the platform. Prepared models can be exported and deployed on the robot for testing in real conditions.
- Parallel work with multiple systems. The manufacturer's infrastructure provides centralized data collection from a large number of platforms.
Application Areas
- Research in embodied artificial intelligence. The platform is suitable for studying models that receive data from the physical environment and control interaction with objects.
- University and educational centers. The system can be used in robotics courses, laboratory work, and research projects.
- Service environments. The equipment allows testing algorithms for performing sequential operations with objects in service spaces.
- Retail spaces. It is possible to study scenarios of interaction with goods, shelves, and other elements of the retail space.
- Industrial and domestic environments. The platform is suitable for testing manipulation algorithms in work zones and spaces close to everyday conditions.
