PC Plastic KLEMA 1.75 mm
PC (Polycarbonate) Plastic KLEMA belongs to the group of amorphous thermoplastics, whose general external feature is high transparency. Polycarbonate is often confused with acrylic or plexiglass, the main difference being that these materials are brittle and often crack.
Polycarbonate is generally easy to bend and deform after prolonged effort. This 3D plastic resembles very strong and hard rubber. It is also called the diamond of plastics. Products made from it are very beautiful. The plastic has a high melting temperature (melting starts at about 150 °C).
Fluidity is achieved at a temperature of 260 degrees Celsius. Therefore, this material is not suitable for every desktop 3D printer.
Due to its high impact resistance and toughness (250-500 kJ/m2), this plastic is used as a structural material in various industries. It is used in the manufacture of protective helmets for extreme cycling and motorsport disciplines. Moreover, to improve mechanical properties, fiberglass-filled compositions are used.
Polycarbonate KLEMA. Printing Conditions:
- Printing Temperature: 260 °C
- Platform Temperature: from 110 °C
- Printing Speed: 40 – 80 mm/s
- Deformation Temperature in Use: 134 °C
