Optical Cassette for Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W serves as a protective barrier between the printing chamber and the internal optical system of the SLS printer. It prevents polymer powder and dust from reaching the laser components and galvanometric mirrors, ensuring the unobstructed passage of the laser beam during material sintering. The need to replace the cassette arises when there are mechanical damages, scratches on the glass, or wear of the protective coating. The part is also replaced in cases where the surface has become cloudy due to constant contact with dust and standard cleaning no longer restores the necessary transparency for precise laser operation.
