Formlabs Fuse 1 Generation Upper Laser Window

Upper Protective Glass of the Formlabs Fuse 1 Generation Laser Upper Laser Window is a replaceable component of the optical path of the Fuse 1+ 30W and Fuse 1 SLS printers. The glass protects the laser collimator, lens, and galvanometers from contamination, helping to maintain the correct operation of the laser system during printing.

Purpose of the Protective Glass

The Upper Laser Window is located in the printer's optical path and separates the sensitive components of the laser system from contaminants that may enter from the work chamber. Damage to this element can cause errors or unsuccessful printing.

When Replacement is Needed

The protective glass is replaced in case of damage or malfunction of the unit. Formlabs does not set a specific replacement interval, but recommends cleaning the upper laser glass after every 1000 hours of printing as part of regular maintenance.
