Bambu Lab AMS HT (Automatic Material System) is an automatic system for feeding, drying, and storing filament, designed to work with a wide range of materials, including high-temperature engineering plastics. The device combines functions of active drying at temperatures up to 85 °C, airtight storage, automatic feeding, and material switching during printing. The AMS HT is equipped with a brushless servo drive, supports RFID identification of Bambu Lab spools, automatic filament length measurement (Filament Odometry), and a separate Bypass Filament Outlet for compatible materials. As part of the Bambu Lab ecosystem, the system supports cascading connections, allowing the use of up to 24 colors or materials during multicolor printing.

Specialization for Drying Engineering Materials
The AMS HT supports active filament drying at temperatures up to 85 °C, allowing for the preparation of a wide range of materials, including engineering plastics with increased moisture sensitivity. The system supports separate drying modes for compatible filament types, ensuring optimal conditions for their preparation before printing.
Active Drying System
During drying, the AMS HT uses a combination of heating, Rotating Drying Mode, active moisture discharge, and airtight storage after the cycle is completed. The rotation of the spool promotes more even heating of the material, and the system maintains the necessary conditions for its further storage.
Electromagnetic Air Vent
The system is equipped with an Electromagnetic Air Vent, which is part of the drying system and operates according to algorithms provided by the manufacturer to control the airflow during the device's operation.
Airtight Filament Storage
After drying is completed, the AMS HT supports an airtight storage mode for the spool. This helps reduce the re-exposure of moisture to the material before or during printing. The function is especially relevant for materials sensitive to environmental conditions.
Temperature and Humidity Control
The front panel is equipped with a display that shows the temperature inside the system, humidity level, and remaining time until the drying cycle is completed in real-time. This allows monitoring the current state of the material without using additional software.
Brushless Servo Drive
The AMS HT is equipped with a brushless servo drive that ensures stable operation of the automatic filament feeding mechanism and material switching during printing.
Automatic RFID Identification
The system supports automatic recognition of Bambu Lab spools with RFID tags. After installing such filament, the AMS HT automatically determines the material information, simplifying preparation for printing and reducing the number of manual settings.
Support for Multi-Material Printing
