3D Printing with Wood! The Dutch company FormFutura specializes in producing printing filaments. Recently, they announced the release of two new materials from the EasyWood line. The filaments, called EasyWood Olive and EasyWood Ebony, have the look and smell of real wood.
They are an addition to the EasyWood line, which already includes Coconut filament, and, according to the manufacturer, are perfect for 3D printing wooden products. All items printed with this material do not deform after cooling, and a heated build platform is not required.
3D Printing with Wood
EasyWood Olive (olive wood) is very easy to post-process and provides excellent interlayer adhesion. Another advantage is that it is made from natural raw materials, making it safe for health. The filaments are produced from a unique blend consisting of 40% finely ground wood particles. Objects printed with EasyWood Olive look very attractive and have a reddish-brown color.
3D Printing with Wood
EasyWood Ebony (ebony wood) has similar properties to EasyWood Olive, but objects printed with this material will have a dark brown color. It is suitable for printing on standard 3D printers with FDM technology, and it can also be used with a heated build platform.
You can purchase these and other types of 3D plastic as well as photopolymer resins in our online store.
