Four-legged Robot Unitree A2 Pro for Cargo Transportation and Object Inspection
Unitree A2 Pro is an industrial four-legged robot designed for operation on sites with stairs, slopes, and uneven surfaces in challenging conditions. The platform supports long continuous walking, hot-swappable batteries, and secondary development. A separate Intel Core i7 processor ensures the execution of user software for application tasks, and the enhanced A2 Pro equipment includes GPS and 4G modules.
Features of Unitree A2 Pro
- 12 motorized degrees of freedom. Low-inertia joint drives with an internal rotor develop a maximum torque of approximately 180 Nm. Industrial cross-roller bearings, dual encoders, and local air cooling support stable limb operation under load.
- Spatial perception front and rear. Spatial perception front and rear. Two industrial lidars collect spatial data in the forward and backward directions. One HD camera captures images in the forward direction, and front lighting illuminates its field of view.
- Hot-swappable dual battery system. The parallel power system allows one battery to be replaced without stopping the platform. The capacity of each battery is 9000 mAh, or 453.6 Wh.
- Mobility on difficult terrain. The robot is designed for continuous movement with a load of approximately 25 kg, overcoming steps 30 cm high, and moving on slopes with an incline angle of approximately 45°. The maximum load in a stationary state is approximately 100 kg.
- Computational system for secondary development. The platform has an eight-core high-performance processor for basic functions and an Intel Core i7 for user applications. This architecture separates the execution of the robot's basic functions and the launch of application software.
Model Capabilities
- Cargo transportation. The robot can transport equipment and other loads along routes with uneven surfaces, steps, and inclined sections.
- Object inspection. The robot can collect spatial data in the forward and backward directions and capture images in the front field of view.
- Connecting external equipment. Users can connect external sensors, communication devices, and computing equipment through built-in interfaces and power outputs.
- Running user software. A separate Intel Core i7 processor and support for secondary development allow the platform to be adapted to specific project tasks.
- Using positioning and mobile communication tools. The A2 Pro is equipped with GPS, 4G, and a wireless vector tracking module in its enhanced configuration. Their presence in a specific configuration should be clarified when ordering. These components themselves do not confirm support for autonomous navigation.

Unitree A2 Pro has significant weight and powerful joint drives, so a safe distance should be maintained during operation, and the platform's movements should be controlled. Dangerous modifications and operation of the robot in a way that may pose a threat to people or property are not allowed.
Actual speed, autonomy, mobility, and allowable load may depend on operating conditions and installed equipment. Some demonstration functions may be under development or testing.
