PETG PRO Plastic Flashforge with Improved Thermal Resistance and Low Water Absorption
PETG PRO Plastic Flashforge 1.75 mm 1 kg Black is an enhanced PETG filament for FDM 3D printing of industrial prototypes, mechanical parts, and pipe components. The material is characterized by good interlayer adhesion, low deformation during printing, and low water absorption. The combination of mechanical and thermal properties allows it to be used for functional products with increased strength and stability requirements.
Advantages and Key Features
- Stable interlayer adhesion;
- Minimal deformation during 3D printing;
- Improved thermal resistance;
- Water absorption less than 0.2%;
- Tensile strength of 35–40 MPa;
- Flexural strength of 45–50 MPa;
- Compatibility with standard nozzles;
- Compatibility with various types of work platforms;
- No need for a hardened nozzle.
Mechanical and Operational Properties
The tensile strength of PETG Pro is 35–40 MPa, and the flexural strength is 45–50 MPa. The material combines mechanical strength with good interlayer adhesion and low deformation tendency, which is important when manufacturing functional components and industrial prototypes.
Water absorption at equilibrium in water at 23 °C is less than 0.2%. PETG Pro is characterized by improved thermal resistance and reduced moisture absorption.
3D Printing Modes
The recommended nozzle temperature is 220–240 °C, and the working platform temperature is 70–80 °C. The printing speed ranges from 40–60 mm/s.
PETG Pro is compatible with standard nozzles and does not require the use of a hardened nozzle.
Filament Drying
PETG can absorb moisture from the environment, which can cause stringing between model elements, bubbles, and surface irregularities. If the filament has been stored in an open package for a long time or has absorbed moisture, it is recommended to dry it at 60–65 °C for 8 hours in a convection oven. An alternative mode is 80 °C for 12 hours on a heating platform.
Compatibility
PETG Pro is compatible with all standard nozzles. The material also supports various work platforms, so it does not require a specialized surface exclusively for this type of filament.
The material is compatible with the IFS system on equipment that supports this filament feeding system.
Applications
PETG Pro is used for manufacturing:
- Industrial prototypes;
- Mechanical parts;
- Pipes and pipe components.
