Flashforge PETG Plastic for High-Speed 3D Printing of Functional Parts
Flashforge PETG Plastic 1.75 mm 1 kg Black is a high-speed filament for FFF 3D printing of functional parts with enhanced flow, high rigidity, and good dimensional stability. The material supports a printing speed of up to 350 mm/s, ensures stable feeding, and combines strength with flexibility, allowing for reduced manufacturing time without losing surface quality.
Advantages and Key Features
- enhanced material flow;
- printing speed up to 350 mm/s;
- good dimensional stability;
- high rigidity;
- combination of strength and flexibility;
- stable filament feeding;
- smooth surface of printed parts;
- suitable for high-speed 3D printing;
- wide compatibility with FFF 3D printers.
High-Speed 3D Printing
PETG has enhanced flow, which contributes to stable material feeding and precise part formation during printing. The working speed range is 100–350 mm/s, making the filament suitable for tasks where reducing manufacturing time is important.
The material combines strength and flexibility: PETG is stronger than PLA and more rigid than TPU. This balance of properties makes it suitable for functional parts that need to maintain shape and withstand mechanical loads.
3D Printing Modes
The recommended nozzle temperature is 220–270 °C, and the working platform temperature ranges from room temperature to 60 °C. The printing speed can be 100–350 mm/s, with a recommended layer height of 0.12–0.3 mm.
Nozzles with a diameter of 0.4 or 0.6 mm can be used, with a recommended diameter of 0.4 mm. Cooling intensity is 50–100%. The recommended retraction length is 1–2 mm, with a retraction speed of 30–50 mm/s.
Drying and Storage
Before printing, it is recommended to dry the filament at 70 °C for 5 hours in a convection oven.
For storage, a relative humidity of no more than 20% and a temperature from room temperature to 40 °C are required. The filament should be stored hermetically with a desiccant.
Compatibility
PETG is compatible with FFF 3D printers designed to work with 1.75 mm filament. For better utilization of the material's high-speed capabilities, high-speed FFF 3D printers are more suitable.
Applications
PETG is suitable for manufacturing:
- functional parts;
- products requiring a combination of strength and flexibility;
- parts produced in high-speed mode;
- series of parts where reducing 3D printing time is important.
