ABS CF10 Plastic Plexiwire 1.75 mm 0.5 kg Black

ABS CF10 is a structural ABS plastic with the addition of 10% carbon fiber, which minimizes shrinkage and the risk of product deformation. The material is designed for the production of strong technical assemblies and functional components with increased rigidity. Objects created using ABS CF10 have up to 20% greater strength compared to standard ABS, which is critically important for large or loaded structures.

Advantages of ABS CF10 Filament

  • Increased rigidity and load resistance. Thanks to the 10% carbon fiber content, Plexiwire ABS CF 10 filament has improved tensile and compressive strength, as well as higher rigidity compared to standard ABS.
  • Improved interlayer adhesion. The material provides reliable layer bonding during printing. As a result, the product does not delaminate under mechanical loads and has increased overall strength.
  • High dimensional stability. Due to the carbon fiber, this plastic exhibits minimal thermal expansion and maintains precise geometry after printing and during operation.
  • Minimal shrinkage. Thanks to the carbon fiber, the material deforms less during 3D printing, allowing for parts with precise shapes.
  • Reduced warping effect. This filament is less prone to bending and deformation during 3D printing, especially when producing large parts.
  • Ease of mechanical processing. Despite increased strength, ABS CF 10 remains quite easy to post-process (sanding, drilling, threading, etc.).

What is Printed with Carbon Plastic

ABS CF10 is used for 3D printing strong functional parts that operate under mechanical loads and require high rigidity, dimensional stability, and deformation resistance. Thanks to the carbon fiber, this filament is suitable for manufacturing parts and technical components in various fields, including:

  • Electronics and Instrumentation: electronics housings, protective elements, mounting panels, and technical components.
  • Mechanical Engineering and Industry: functional assemblies, fasteners, elements of production equipment, and machines.
  • Automotive Industry: technical inserts, brackets, fasteners, and wear-resistant interior parts.
  • Tools and Production Equipment: templates, jigs, tool housings, and auxiliary devices.
  • Prototyping and Engineering: functional prototypes for testing loads and part geometry.
  • Agricultural Machinery: strong fasteners and equipment elements that operate in harsh conditions.
  • Protective and Technical Systems: brackets, technical components, and protective equipment elements.

Technical Specifications

For stable 3D printing with ABS CF10 plastic, it is recommended to use 3D printers  FDM with a closed chamber. Such a printer design helps maintain a uniform temperature during 3D printing, reducing material shrinkage and deformation, and supports quality layer adhesion, positively affecting the quality of printed products.

Advice from 3DDevice Experts

  • Use ABS-compatible printers. The material can be used on standard FDM 3D printers with ABS support, provided there is a closed chamber and correctly selected printing parameters.
  • Print in a closed chamber. A closed chamber helps maintain a stable temperature, improves layer adhesion, and reduces the risk of shrinkage and deformation of models.
  • Control the cooling level. Carbon fibers make the material more sensitive to rapid cooling and temperature fluctuations. For stable printing, it is recommended to use minimal cooling or turn it off completely to reduce the risk of cracking and improve layer adhesion.
  • Choose wear-resistant nozzles. For printing, it is recommended to use nozzles made of hardened steel, ruby, or tungsten, as carbon fibers quickly wear out standard brass nozzles.
