Revopoint POP 4 Premium Edition is a wireless hybrid 3D scanner designed for digitizing small and medium-sized objects in handheld and desktop modes. The device combines a blue multi-line laser, near-infrared structured light, and an innovative VCSEL projector in one body. Thanks to this combination of optical modules, the scanner supports five specialized scanning modes for different types of geometry. The extended Premium Edition package includes a set of 300 markers, magnetic outdoor light filters, a protective case, and an external battery handle with a capacity of 5500 mAh, providing autonomous operation for up to 4 hours.
Five Digitization Modes for Any Scenario
The Revopoint POP 4 hardware platform offers specialized shooting modes for specific physical properties of surfaces:
- High-Speed Laser Mode (30 Cross-lines): uses a grid of 30 intersecting blue laser lines. It works significantly better with dark and low-reflective surfaces, often eliminating the need for a matting spray.
- Deep Holes Mode (Single Line): performs scanning with a single focused laser line. This mode is specifically designed for capturing grooves, channels, and complex internal recesses.
- Outdoor Mode (VCSEL Rapid Scans): employs an IR projector based on VCSEL technology. It allows for quick digitization of large objects and people by body geometry without using markers.
- Full-Field High Definition Mode (Full-Field HD): operates based on near-infrared structured light. It is intended for markerless scanning of objects with pronounced texture.
- Hybrid Mode (Hybrid HD Mode): combines the capabilities of full-field infrared and VCSEL scanning for accelerated construction of accurate surfaces.
AI Algorithms and Intelligent Data Processing
The software-hardware complex supports Real-time AI Segmentation technology. It automatically recognizes and separates the target object from the background or operator's hands directly during shooting, reducing the time for subsequent model cleaning.
The device supports data export for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) technology. This allows for the creation of highly realistic digital scenes based on point clouds and RGB camera color data. This approach ensures natural reproduction of the object's geometry, color, and original lighting.
High Accuracy and Adaptive Working Distance
The scanner's design provides volumetric accuracy according to the formula 0.03 mm + 0.05 mm × L, where L is the length of the object in meters (in multi-line laser mode). The accuracy of a single laser measurement is up to 0.03 mm.
Thanks to a wide range of working distances, the scanner supports flexible adjustment of the working area:
- From 200 to 400 mm — for detailed macro shooting with a blue laser (minimum object size from 10 × 10 × 10 mm).
- From 250 to 500 mm — for full-field infrared HD mode.
- From 300 to 800 mm — for quick coverage of large areas in VCSEL mode (maximum shooting volume up to 2 × 2 × 2 m).
Autonomy and Wireless Operation
The combination of Wi-Fi 6 module and Revo Mirror technology allows data to be streamed from a PC to a smartphone or tablet screen in real-time. At the same time, infrared and VCSEL modes can work with a mobile device completely independently.
Magnetic blue filters (Outdoor Blue Filters) protect optical sensors from solar interference, ensuring stable operation outdoors in bright natural light conditions.
RGB Texture Capture
The built-in RGB camera with a resolution of 1.3 MP is responsible for accurate color map capture. It automatically matches color with the geometry of the point cloud. This allows for the creation of realistic digital copies of museum exhibits, product prototypes, and decorative elements without the need for external photo equipment.
