Industrial 3D Printer for FDM Printing
UltiMaker Factor 4 Plus is an industrial 3D printer for serial production of parts and creation of functional prototypes from engineering plastics. The build volume is 330 × 240 × 300 mm, the printer has two extruders and a closed chamber with a temperature of up to 70 °C. It works with engineering and composite filaments, automatically feeds material, and the UltiMaker TRACE system controls key parameters during 3D printing.
Advantages of UltiMaker Factor 4 Plus
- 3D printing with engineering plastics. The nozzle heats up to 340 °C, and the build platform up to 120 °C. This allows working with materials that require high temperatures during 3D printing.
- Fast 3D printing. UltiMaker Factor 4 Plus can operate up to twice as fast as some other industrial 3D printers. The Cheetah motion planner system quickly manages the movement of the print head, and the Print Cores AA+ and CC+ are designed for fast material feeding.

- Filtration and safety. The HEPA H13 filter captures up to 95% of ultrafine particles. The STOP button allows for quick stopping of movement and heating, and opening the door automatically pauses 3D printing.
- Stable operation at high speed. The H-bridge gantry design reduces vibrations during the fast movement of the print head. The mechanism has undergone endurance testing for 15,000 hours.
3D Printing and Material Feeding System
Factor 4 Plus has two direct material feeding channels, automatic lifting of the inactive nozzle, and interchangeable Print Cores for different filaments. This allows working with engineering plastics and composites.
The closed chamber with triple thermal insulation maintains a temperature up to 70 °C, and the steel platform with PEI coating heats up to 120 °C. The system works with six spools, automatically switches filament, and stores it at a humidity below 15%.
Materials and Compatibility
UltiMaker TRACE controls material feeding and the temperatures of the nozzle, chamber, and build platform. After 3D printing, the system creates a report where deviations during part manufacturing can be seen.
UltiMaker Factor 4 Plus works with over 200 materials, including Nylon CF Slide, PPS CF, PET CF, Tough PLA, PLA, PETG, ABS, CPE, CPE+, Nylon, PC, TPU 95A, and PP. For composite PPS CF, the Print Core HT is used.
The printer also supports compatible third-party materials from the UltiMaker Marketplace catalog. Filament diameter is 2.85 mm.
