Formlabs is becoming more open and offering Open Material Mode for experienced SLA 3D printing users. Print with any resin on Formlabs 3rd and 4th generation printers.

Activating
Placed and payed your order, you will receive an email with a unique license key. You will need to enter this key on the printer’s touch screen to activate the license.

The Open Material License is an optional paid license that allows experienced users to print any 405 nm photopolymer on Form 3 and Form 4 generation SLA printers or 1064 nm powder on Fuse 1 3D printers.
Use any 405 nm photopolymer resin from any supplier on Formlabs SLA 3D printers trusted by tens of thousands of professionals worldwide.

A new PreForm feature that allows advanced users to customize print performance by changing print settings, coming in October with PreForm 3.32.
Customize print performance using Formlabs and certified third-party materials by adjusting a range of settings that control exposure, layer height, resolution, scaling, heat, wipe, and movement between layers.
