ABS Plastic Creatbot for Impact-Resistant Cases and Technical Parts

ABS Plastic Creatbot 1 kg 1.75 mm White is a filament for FDM 3D printing of cases, equipment, and technical parts that need to withstand impact and mechanical loads and maintain shape at elevated temperatures. The material is intended for functional products where mechanical strength, impact resistance, and heat resistance are important.

Material Advantages

• Resistance to mechanical and impact loads. Tensile strength in the XY direction is 32 MPa, flexural strength is 60 MPa, and impact toughness is 39 kJ/m². This combination of properties is suitable for cases, equipment, and functional parts that experience mechanical and impact loads during operation.
• Resistance to elevated temperatures. The Vicat softening temperature is 93 °C, and the deformation temperature under a load of 0.45 MPa is 85 °C. These indicators characterize the behavior of ABS under simultaneous temperature and mechanical load.
• Chemical resistance. ABS is resistant to a range of acids, alkalis, salt solutions, oils, and gasoline. At the same time, the material dissolves in acetone and ethyl acetate, allowing the surface of printed parts to be smoothed by vapor treatment.
• Filament diameter control. The diameter of 1.75 mm is maintained with a tolerance of ±0.03 mm. Control of filament geometry reduces material feed fluctuations and promotes uniform extrusion.

Features of 3D Printing with ABS Creatbot

ABS Creatbot is recommended to be printed at a nozzle temperature of 240–260 °C and a platform temperature of 80–100 °C. The working chamber temperature is 50 °C, and the recommended printing speed is less than 300 mm/s. The cooling fan speed can be adjusted in the range of 0–80%.

For ABS printing, it is important to maintain a stable temperature around the model. A closed chamber reduces temperature fluctuations that can cause edge warping and interlayer cracking, especially when producing large parts.

Before printing, it is recommended to dry the filament for 6–8 hours at a temperature of 70–80 °C. The moisture absorption rate is 0.65% at a temperature of 25 °C and relative humidity of 55%.

To improve the adhesion of the first layer, you can use a 3D printing spray, PVP glue stick, or a specialized adhesive for the printing platform.

Storage

Unopened filament is recommended to be stored in a dry, cool place at a temperature of 15–25 °C and relative humidity below 30%, without exposure to direct sunlight. After opening, the spool should be kept in a sealed package with a desiccant or in a dry box.
