Innovative 3D printer Bambu Lab P1S, price

After the success of the flagship X1 series and the P1P series developed on its basis, Bambu Lab offers the Bambu Lab P1S 3D printer, the price of which is still more affordable.

Based on the P1P additive system, the new P1S has a print volume of 256*256*256 mm, which is now fully enclosed in a stable housing to have a closed build chamber. Bambu Lab has redesigned the cooling system – the P1S has a system of fans and sensors to improve temperature control inside the chamber, as well as a carbon air filter. The P1S has the ability to 3D print with materials prone to high thermal shrinkage: it is equipped with more powerful model cooling, and has a fan to force air circulation in the chamber, plus another on the control panel to cool the control board.

The main design solutions of the Bambu Lab P1S are borrowed from the X1 series, so it also reaches acceleration of up to 20 m/s² and print speeds of up to 500 mm/s, using vibration damping and dynamic melt flow control algorithms. The gearbox extruder with two drive gears has a direct filament feed, the all-metal hotend is heated to 300 °C and can be used for 3D printing with composite materials such as carbon and glass-filled polymers.

An optional automatic filament change system (AMS) can be ordered. One module accepts up to four filament spools, but up to four such modules can be connected to the 3D printer to bring the filament selection up to sixteen.

Bambu Lab P1S uses advanced technology

  • All-metal Hotend. A robust material designed to durably support 3D printing filaments, including ABS, carbon fiber, at high temperatures. It ensures accurate and smooth extrusion to achieve high-quality prints.
  • Recovery from power loss. You don’t have to worry about a power outage, you can continue printing from where it was stopped.
  • Fans with speed feedback. The speed feedback sensor monitors the fan speed, ensuring that the fan can always run at the optimum speed.
  • Thread end sensor. Eliminates the problem of empty spools during printing. Replace the thread when it is empty and resume.
  • Semi-automatic belt tensioning. Belt tension is important to ensure dimensional accuracy. Resonant frequency identification is performed every time to maintain the correct tension.
  • Live view and slow motion. The built-in camera makes it easy to monitor printing on the Bambu Studio and Handy, as well as create time-lapse videos.
