Where the Peel 3 CAD engineering scanner is used
A global community of users has taken advantage of Peel 3D’s high-performance yet affordable 3D scanners for all types of applications. Here are some examples. Peel 3D scanners can be used for after-sales service and tuning, product design, as well as repair and engineering in a wide range of industries.
Surfaces. Peel 3 CAD is capable of scanning matte black objects (such as plastic) or non-shiny metallic objects. To scan glossy black surfaces or shiny metallic surfaces such as chrome, use a special talcum powder spray to create a matte surface texture. For this, you can choose AESUB Blue or AESUB Orange self-evaporating 3D scanning spray, which creates a matte film that disappears after a few hours on the surface of the object and helps the 3D scanner to ‘see’ the surface of the object and make a 3D copy of it.
Reflective markers. Peel 3 CAD 3D scanners are capable of using the geometry and texture of the object for autopositioning, so the use of target markers is not unconditional. However, they are complementary and helpful when scanning, for example, flatter or smoother surfaces and when accuracy is important.
