How to Use UltiMaker Cleaning

Using the UltiMaker Cleaning filament for nozzle cleaning is the best way to remove clogs and keep your print cores in optimal condition. The UltiMaker Cleaning filament withstands higher temperatures than PLA and is transparent, allowing you to visually observe the cleaning efficiency.

This filament can be used to clean the print core of UltiMaker 3D printers using hot and cold pulling. It is also ideal for maintaining other printers that use 2.85 mm and 3.0 mm filaments.

With hot pulling, you can remove the largest pieces of carbonized material from the print core when it is clogged.
With cold pulling, the remaining small particles will be removed, ensuring complete cleanliness of the print core.

Regular maintenance is recommended every 3 months. Turn off the print core if material does not exit the nozzle for at least 10 minutes.
