The post-processing of parts printed on the SLS 3D printer Formlabs Fuse 1 is quite simple in terms of labor and time compared to other types of 3D printing.

After the printing process is completed, the finished parts are removed from the printing chamber. Then the parts need to be cleaned from the remnants of unsintered powder in which the prints are immersed inside the build chamber. This can be done manually at the cleaning station. Compressed air and various brushes and tools are used for this. The excess powder is sieved through the 150 Sieve.

During the extraction of the part on the Formlabs Fuse Sift, unsintered powder is displaced and directed into the sieve under the workspace. This sieve filters out all small pieces and debris, separating the powder and keeping it clean. The recovered powder can then be stored in a special hopper until mixed with fresh powder for the next print.
