Build Chamber for 3D Printer Formlabs Fuse by Formlabs
The build chamber for Fuse 1 is a key component of the SLS 3D printing process on this 3D printer. It is in this chamber that the printed parts are constructed:
- Heated almost to the melting point, Nylon Powder is distributed in a thin layer on the build platform inside the print chamber.
- The printer's fiber laser scans the cross-section of the 3D model, heating the powder to the material's melting temperature. Thus, the material particles mechanically bond together into one solid part. The unsintered powder supports the part during printing and eliminates the need for special supports.
- Then the platform lowers by one layer in the build chamber (from 50 to 200 microns). The process repeats for each layer until the specified parts are printed.
Thus, the build chamber for Fuse 1 is a container in which the build platform descends during printing along with the sintered parts and unsintered powder. After printing is complete, you can remove the build chamber from the Formlabs Fuse 1 and load it into the Formlabs Fuse Sift for cooling, part extraction, and material recycling.
Consider the benefits of purchasing an additional build chamber for your 3D printer Fuse 1. With a spare build chamber in your toolkit, you can start 3D printing the next batch of parts immediately after the previous print is complete. This is similar to working with multiple build platforms on SLA printers, such as the Formlabs Form 3. Each 3D printer Fuse 1 includes one build chamber. An additional build chamber is available for purchase separately.
Move modular build chambers and powder cartridges between Fuse 1 and Fuse Sift. This ensures a continuous and cyclical workflow in your production.
