Why Does Polyamide (PA) Require Special Glue?

PA (polyamide) is a group of polymers with an amide repeating unit. Typically, in the FDM industry, there are 3 main types of PA, which include PA12, PA66, and PA6. Sometimes these materials can be modified with other polymers or reinforced with glass or carbon fibers.

Polyamides are characterized by high strength, elasticity, and heat resistance. These properties make PA a valuable material for 3D printing, but its printing can be challenging due to:

  • Low adhesion: PA does not always adhere well to standard 3D printing platforms.
  • Warping: PA is prone to warping during printing, which can lead to part damage.

Magigoo Pro PA addresses these issues.


How to Use Magigoo Pro PA

Use Magigoo Pro PA just like Magigoo Original or Magigoo Pro Flex:

  • Shake the bottle well.
  • Thoroughly clean the platform before use.
  • Press the applicator on the platform to activate the valve.
  • Apply the glue in linear motions in a thin layer over the entire printing area.
  • Perform 3D printing with PA filament.
  • After printing, allow the platform to cool.
  • Remove the part from the platform.
  • The platform is easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
  • Store in an upright position with the lid closed.
