SHINING Einstar 2 – Portable Color 3D Scanner

EINSTAR 2 — a portable handheld 3D scanner from SHINING 3D. The device combines a hybrid lighting system (17 parallel blue laser lines + IR VCSEL), dual-mode capture (Laser HD and IR Rapid), color capture, and alignment modes. This allows for equally successful scanning of both small details and large objects.

Hybrid Scanning

Hybrid optics (Laser HD + IR Rapid). The 17-line blue laser array provides high detail for small objects and textured surfaces; IR Rapid (VCSEL) expands the capture area and simplifies scanning of large/distant scenes, as well as facilitates work with dark and partially reflective surfaces. This combination provides versatility — from jewelry to scanning walls and furniture.

Data collection dynamics. High point/s speed in Laser HD is useful for capturing small details and complex geometry without jitter; IR Rapid accelerates "mass-scan" while maintaining acceptable accuracy.

EXStar Hub — the main proprietary platform for Einstar 2, a unified interface for scanning and post-processing. Features: intuitive UI, reduced system load (performance optimization), fast visualization, built-in alignment/stitching tools, and basic mesh cleaning.

EXStar Hub serves as the "center" of the workflow and integrates with SHINING 3D's cloud capabilities and additional modules.

3D color scanning

EXModel (optional) — a module for mesh processing and basic "reverse engineering": alignment, hole filling, mesh simplification, preparation for 3D printing,
