Plastic Nylon (PA) for 3D Printing
High-quality, durable material for 3D printing on desktop 3D printers. In terms of properties, it slightly resembles 3D plastic ABS with some differences. Nylon or PA plastic is distinguished by its elasticity at high strength, as well as its ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures. It has a high coefficient of friction, making it extremely popular in 3D printing of various sliding elements. In addition, this material is excellent for post-processing.
Products made from it can be painted, sawn, cut, drilled, sanded, primed, and lacquered. In 3D printing, Nylon (PA) plastic generally behaves well. It is recommended to cover the 3D printer platform with special substrates (BuildTak, Kapton) when working with it. It is not prone to delamination, and the layers adhere perfectly during printing. However, there is a possibility of deformation of the printed product. Also, Nylon plastic emits toxic fumes during melting, so it is better to print in a well-ventilated area.
