Description
An universal material for industrial printing
UltiMaker PETG filament is a glycol-modified formula of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) designed specifically for industrial applications.
UltiMaker PETG is the best PETG on the market that you can choose for your UltiMaker 3D printer or other FDM printer.
It is simple and easy to print, comparable to PLA, PETG offers increased strength, chemical resistance, wear resistance, and heat resistance up to 76 °C. It is a more versatile material that has found wide application in industrial 3D printing, functional prototyping, and production aids.
Why UltiMaker PETG?
PETG sets the standard for enterprise-level industrial use with key benefits.
- Its good adhesion and pre-configured print profiles allow you to achieve the right results the first time, making the printing process easy and fast.
- Compared to PLA and Tough PLA, PETG has the widest range of technical applications, making it ideal for industrial parts, tools and prototypes.
- The good combination of properties makes it one of the most affordable engineering materials. It is easy to standardize your organization’s printing process.
PETG key features
Below are some of the main mechanical properties of UltiMaker PETG:
- Good chemical resistance to lubricants, oils, alcohol, acids and alkalis.
- Able to withstand humid environments and temperatures up to 76 °C.
- Durable and wear-resistant.
- Shore hardness is 76D.
- Available in 14 colors, including clear and fluorescent.
UltiMaker PETG printing parameters
- Nozzle temperature – 225 – 245 °C
- Table temperature – 85 °C
- Desktop surface – glass + thin layer of adhesive
Compatibility
PETG is officially supported by the UltiMaker S5, UltiMaker S3 and UltiMaker 2+ Connect series of 3D printers.
The material is compatible for dual extrusion with the following materials: UltiMaker PVA, UltiMaker Breakaway, or other PETG colors.
Applications
UltiMaker PET-G is best suited for industrial applications.
- Production aids
In the desired color and with the right mechanical properties – UltiMaker PET-G is the ideal solution for creating production aids that ensure efficiency, order and safety in an industrial environment.
- Parts for industrial applications
UM PETG has chemical and heat-resistant properties, making it a great candidate for creating parts that are designed to withstand heavy use in industrial environments. It can also be used to print waterproof sensor covers or color-coded tools, etc.
- Functional prototypes
The ease of printing and balance between strength, rigidity, and resistance means you can design, test, and iterate functional prototypes that get the job done.
