Carbon Fiber 3D Plastic Carbon Fiber XT-CF20 by ColorFabb
This is the first special development by the European company ColorFabb, designed for the production of high-hardness parts. 3D plastic Carbon Fiber XT-CF20 is a combination of carbon fiber (20%) and a composite material based on a complex copolyester. This combination provides high strength, low weight, and a pleasant matte surface for printed products. 3D plastic Carbon Fiber XT-CF20 has high impact toughness and high melt strength. Due to these characteristics, the material is ideal for use in the production of functional models and prototypes, as well as in the creation of finished products. 3D plastic Carbon Fiber XT-CF20 by ColorFabb is suitable for use in almost all models of 3D printers, including devices such as Ultimaker, Makerbot, Leapfrog Creator, CreatBot, Prusa, etc.
3D Plastic Carbon Fiber: Advantages
The presented material has a number of undeniable advantages. In particular, 3D plastic Carbon Fiber XT-CF20 is distinguished by:
- Extremely high flexural modulus (2 times higher than the similar value for PLA plastic);
- Moderate elongation at break;
- Strength;
- High glass transition temperature;
- Very high melt strength;
- High melt viscosity;
- Good dimensional accuracy and stability;
- Virtually no odor;
- Ease of post-processing;
- Pleasant matte surface of the created products.
