Triple Cooling

  1. Hotend fan — prevents heat transfer from the hotend to the extruder and premature melting of the material due to power flow disruption.
  2. Part-cooling fan – helps the immediate solidification of the printed part. Blowing on the newly printed layers catalyzes their bonding and improves layer texture.
  3. Auxiliary fan for overall print quality – located on the side of the chamber to help the model cool down. This minimizes stringing and distortion for bridges and overhangs.

The weight of the print head fans is dynamically balanced. Thus, they will be less likely to oscillate, minimizing noise. A conventional cooling fan tends to wobble during dynamic rotation because its weight is uneven, and the centrifugal force is inconsistent. In the K1C, discrepancies are measured, and the weight is precisely balanced until the center of gravity, axis of rotation, and principal axis of inertia overlap.
