Emerging Objects has unveiled a concept for a residential interior, elements of which are printed on an industrial 3D printer.
The project, called 3D Printed House 1.0, represents a hybrid of modern and futuristic architecture. Part of this concept has been implemented in one of the buildings at the Jin Hai lake resort near Beijing, according to Look at me.
According to the project, spacious rooms with elements printed on an industrial printer were created in the building. These “vessels” create individual zones in a common space, and their walls and ceilings provide natural lighting.
It takes almost a year to build such a structure, according to Emerging Objects. At the same time, it does not require the use of large-scale construction printers, but allows all interior elements to be printed on conventional industrial devices. For example, Jin Hai used Zcorp 310, 3D Systems PROJET 360, and Voxeljet printers. 3D Printed House 1.0 will be included in Emerging Objects' catalog of completed projects and will be available to future customers.
