3D Plaster Printing and Its Capabilities

We have previously discussed the use of 3D printing in creating unique collectible items and works of art. Today we will continue this topic. You can recreate a model on a 3D printer in many diverse ways, including SLA/DLP 3D printing, FDM 3D printing, volumetric metal printing, etc. But I would like to specifically highlight the technology of 3D plaster printing. 3D plaster printing is a special method of three-dimensional printing, in which a plaster-based polymer powder, bonded with a binding solution into a solid object, is used for modeling.

The 3D model is reproduced by superimposing, layer by layer, a connecting material and ink onto a plaster powder base. Today, this is the only technology that allows recreating full-color three-dimensional models, which is an undoubted advantage and largely predetermines its fields of application.

What 3D Plaster Printing Is Needed For

Plaster printing is ideally suited for 3D prototyping to produce architectural and landscape models. After all, most often in these fields, color is a key element of the concept. The technology can also be incredibly useful for designers, as it allows to accurately convey the required color and reproduce various elements, inscriptions, signs, and emblems on the surface of the template.

But full-color 3D printing occupies key positions in the manufacture of unique decorative products and souvenirs. Any ideas can be realized, from computer game characters, figurines of real people to the fruits of the customer's imagination. Below you will see examples of plaster models made by our company.
