3D Modeling on iPad!
3D modeling has become extremely popular recently, due to the rapid development of innovative technologies. Together with computer graphics, 3D modeling is used to create many products for the film and gaming industries, 3D visualization, and design, not to mention its applications in 3D printing. As a result, software developers are constantly working on creating platforms that are simpler and more user-friendly.

With the dynamic development and spread of virtual and augmented reality technologies, as well as 3D scanning, it is extremely important that 3D modeling becomes accessible to average users, giving them the opportunity to fully enjoy the advantages of these exciting methods. For this purpose, the company Gravity Sketch has developed a promising app designed to reach a wide audience interested in 3D modeling. The project is already available for iPad, and support for additional systems is expected soon.

Gravity Sketch is a unique and intuitive app that allows almost any user to start modeling directly without prior experience. Unlike TinkerCAD, which lets users create 3D models using standard primitives, Gravity Sketch uses doodles drawn on mobile device screens to construct objects. The app provides a standard set of brushes and tools, which are sufficient to create quite interesting designs.

The app began as a project by a group of art students and evolved into a full-fledged 3D modeling program, now available worldwide. Thanks to a collaboration with Shapeways, 3D models created in Gravity Sketch can be reproduced with a 3D printer, which significantly promotes the spread of 3D printing. Additionally, users can share their 3D creations globally through platforms like Sketchfab, which is supported in the app.

Even more exciting is that the developers have announced beta testing for Oculus Rift and alpha testing for augmented reality technology. Pierre Palier, a company representative, explains that these areas require a simple 3D modeling method to remove barriers to learning about 3D technology, especially skills in creating and editing 3D content. With the decreasing costs of 3D printing, only a lack of user awareness could hinder the widespread adoption of 3D technology for a better future.
